Day 1
Welcome
We will collect you in Bratislava and together we will venture deep into the Slovak heartland. We will discover the legacy of Slovak tinkers that once roamed the world and visit the birthplace of the legendary Jáňošík.
Day 2
Kežmarok & Stará Ľubovňa
Step into the old world and visit a wooden church built without a single nail. We will discover the long tradition of distilling herbal liquor, explore how our ancestors lived and swim in a magical crater lake!
Day 3
Bardejov & Hervartov
Not everyone is lucky enough to venture far enough east to experience picturesque Bardejov. The icing on the cake is the oldest wooden church in Slovakia, tucked away off the beaten path.
DAY 4
Liptovský Mikuláš
Visit a traditional sheep farm underneath the Tatras to discover why the shepherds gave rise to legends and sample fresh local cheeses! Did you know that the foundations of modern Slovakia were not laid in Bratislava? We will take you to the birthplace of Slovak nationhood!
Day 5
High Tatras
Visit the iconic High Tatras and take an easy hike that meanders through a fairytale forest, weaves around a pristine lake, and offers breathtaking panoramas. You will build your appetite for an authentic Slovak backyard goulash party!
Day 6
Betliar
The home of one of the most powerful families in the former Kingdom of Hungary, Betliar is a gem. Unlike other castles, it was never damaged or looted and it is a rare opportunity to glimpse into the authentic life of the aristocracy that once ruled Slovakia.
Day 7
Košice
No journey to Slovakia would be complete without visiting Košice, the metropolis of the east. Tour the town with a man who knows all the city's secrets! Enjoy the city's vibrant atmosphere or have a beer in one of the oldest breweries in Slovakia!
Day 8
We will return to Bratislava following the iconic castle route.
